Mirena Removed in January -- Been bleeding basically ever since!

I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar because I’m honestly getting really overwhelmed.

I had a Mirena IUD for about 7 years. My periods before Mirena were completely normal.

In December I started having spotting for about a month while the IUD was still in place. On January 15 the IUD was removed because it had partially expelled and was sitting in my cervix (after TWO FRIGGIN YEARS! this was the second one).

After the removal I continued spotting for about 3 weeks. Then developed a very heavy period with large clots (some egg/lemon sized) that lasted about 8 days

Around day 4 of that heavy bleed I started Lo-Loestrin birth control. After that episode the bleeding stopped completely for about 2 weeks.

Then things started again.

Bleeding started February 23 and hasn’t really stopped since.

I saw my family doctor Feb 26 and because the bleeding kept going she switched me from Lo-Loestrin to Linessa 21, and told me to take it continuously with no placebo week.

I started Linessa on Feb 28, but the bleeding has continued.

For the last 6 days it has gotten heavier again with clots.I can barely leave the house, i'm going crazy

I had a pelvic ultrasound recently which was normal (no fibroids).

Today I spoke to an online doctor who prescribed Tranexamic acid (TXA), Mefenamic acid & 300 mg iron

The problem is I’m honestly scared to take the TXA because of the clot risk, but I’m equally scared to keep bleeding like this because I feel like I can’t take it anymore.

Has anyone had this kind of post-Mirena hormonal chaos or heavy bleeding after removal? Did TXA help you?

I’m just really frustrated because my periods were completely normal before I ever put that Mirena in. I loved having it, my life felt so free.. and now it's a disaster my uterine lining is so messed up.
