Final day for "Where We Build Havens" Interactive Graduate Art Show
Fresno State University art graduate student Brandi Nuse-Villegas is presenting her interactive graduate art exhibit, "Where We Build Havens: Imagination as Resistance" February 17 through March 6 at Fresno State University Phebe Conley Gallery 5225 Backer Street. Extended hours Friday, March 6, 10:00am-7:00pm.
The exhibit includes collaborations and art in partnership with community members, including those with lived experienced being without housing students, and nieces.
The exhibit explores the “potential space,” space in which we allow ourselves to imagine, whether it is in play or other expressions of creativity, is an essential part of our being. Allowing ourselves to dwell in that space, in all parts of our life, including work, and in community. reclaiming our creativity and reclaiming play is a form of resistance and a means of thriving, personally and collectively.
