Central Dispatch Now Requires ID Verification: How the process works

Load Boards

Central Dispatch has introduced an identity verification to help reduce fraud in the auto transport industry. For years scammers have created fake carrier accounts, stolen loads, and disappeared before anyone could track them down.

Fake carriers can hide behind a keyboard but an I.D. requirement leaves them exposed.

What started in January requires all users verify their identity to continue using the platform. The process includes confirming your name, scanning a government ID, and completing a facial verification step.

By connecting each account to a real person, it becomes much harder for scammers to operate anonymously.

How to Get Verified: How the process works

1. Go to the Central Dispatch log in page, and click “Start Verification” to begin the process.

Step 1

2. Verify your legal name to continue.

Step 2

3. Continue on your phone by receiving a link via SMS, or by scanning the QR code.

Step 3

4. Follow the prompts to start verification and consent to verify ID.

Step 4

5. Use your phone’s camera to scan the front and back of your government-issued ID.

Step 5

6. Take a selfie to confirm you match the individual featured in the ID.

Step 6

7. Return to the device where the process started to validate or edit your information.

Step 7

8. That’s it! You’ll receive a success or failure message after completing.

Step 8

9. If you receive a failure message, try one of these best practices to ensure best results:

  • Don’t use the back button
  • Complete the process at one time and limit delays in steps of the process
  • Review information before proceeding to the next step

Step 9

For brokers and carriers who operate honestly, this could help create a safer and more reliable marketplace.
