Chao World Extended questions

Hey all, I've got the chao world extended mod, and have noticed a small issue. I tried to give my chao the potion to reincarnate him, but when it gets into the garden, I can't pick it up. Additionally, I can't pick up any hatched chao eggs either. Any ideas on what I might need to do?
