Neighbourhood recommendations in Toronto!

Hi there!

I’m a woman in my 20s who will be moving to downtown Toronto in the next few months for work. I’ll be working primarily at the major GTA hospitals, so I’m hoping to narrow down some neighbourhoods to focus my apartment search.

Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere that:

• Has easy public transit or walking access to downtown hospitals
• Feels safe, especially since I’ll be leaving for work very early or getting home late
• Is within a budget of roughly $2,100–$2,300/month

I’d love any recommendations for neighbourhoods that might fit this! Also happy to hear areas to avoid or any general advice for someone new to the city.
