Roof rack

Just bought a 2016 Sequoia Platinum yesterday. Got a few questions.

Are the factory cross bars worth putting weight on, say a roof rack or am I better off purchasing something better?

And what do you all recommend for a roof rack? I have a box already, I’m just looking for an actual rack for storing gear in and being able to put Jerry Cans in as well.

BTW, it drives like a dream! For a large SUV, it doesn’t drive like a large SUV! It drives so smooth!
