Struggling to pick the right flooring for my living room

I didn’t realize how complicated flooring decisions could get until I started redoing my living room. My place gets a ton of natural light in the morning but feels darker in the afternoon, so every sample looks totally different depending on the time of day. I’ve bounced between a light oak look and something more mid-tone, and I keep second-guessing it. What threw me off the most was how different the exact same sample looks at home vs in the store. Lighting really messes with your brain. Seeing bigger samples in my actual room helped a lot. I did an in-home consult with 50Floor, and it made it way easier to tell what worked under my lighting instead of guessing from showroom lights. For anyone who’s been through this, what helped you finally commit? Did you pick based on how it looked in the brightest light, the darkest light, or did you just choose the one you stopped overthinking?
