I recently revived an old project of mine called Synclippy. Sharing in case anyone finds it useful.
It’s a small Go utility that spins up temporary 3-word rooms where you can drop text or files and share them between devices.
I originally built it just as a quick way to move snippets or small files between my own devices complementing my Taildrop workflow, but recently cleaned up the code and open sourced it.
Example room:
oak-river-gentle
Rooms last for 5 minutes and everything lives in memory, so there’s no persistence or cleanup needed beyond the TTL.
A few things it does:
• real-time text sync over WebSockets
• drag and drop file uploads (up to 50MB)
• optional clipboard sharing
• automatic room expiration

If anyone is curious about the implementation or has ideas for improving it, I’d love to hear them.
