So I put two interior scrub pads up against each other today — one of those “premium” detailing brands that charges like $16 for *3* tiny pads… and then this budget brand that gives you *8* bigger ones for basically the same price. I figured the expensive ones would at least feel different or perform better but nope. Honestly kinda shocked.

Both pads felt the same in the hand, same texture, same results on the seats, same durability. If anything, the cheap ones actually looked better made. Like how does the cheaper product look more legit than the premium one?

And here’s the part that annoys me. a lot of these detailing brands are literally white‑labeling the same stuff from the same manufacturer; slapping their logo on it and marking it up 2–4x. Half of them don’t even bother explaining where anything comes from. Just “Made in China” and that's all you get.

Then at the end of the video I tested an XL detailing brush from the same budget brand — $12 — and compared it to the premium version that costs $39. Same exact tool. Same build. Same performance. Just a different label and a bigger price tag.

If you care about getting actual value and not getting played by marketing, this video might be worth watching. I’m not trying to bash brands or start drama. I just want people (detailers and DIY folks) to know what you're actually paying for.
