“Part time nannies are glorified babysitters”
Job listing:
ISO Part time Nanny in xxxxxx
In need of help Mondays & Wednesdays from 8:30-2:30 in my home while I work from my home office.
Little man is just shy of 1 year old. He’ll be asleep for 90 or so minutes during this time.
Offering $15/hr
Need someone to start ASAP. Position ends in August.
At this time, we’re requesting the care be 1:1 and provided from our home.
For reference, $23 is minimum in this area, and comments told her that.
She replied with: I appreciate the feedback, but as this is a glorified babysitting position allowing for the individual to spend 90 minutes out of the 6 hours relaxing, for time worked they are receiving 20 an hour.
Her second response is: I’ve never said a negative word about ACTUAL career nannies. I am speaking solely about my position simply requiring someone to watch little man while I WFH. The audience is for the younger crowd or those who simply want baby snuggles.
