I wish I was kidding..

Today in a transition IEP meeting that included my IEP team and the middle school team, the special education teacher introduced me by saying “This is Ms. ____, the speech therapist or should I say speech terrorist..”

I’m sorry..what?? What about that is even funny? How did he even think of that?

This is a man who is old enough to be my parent. Supposedly worked in special education since I was literally a child but freezes up and says the wildest things in IEP meetings to cope with his apparent nervousness. It stresses me out SO much because you really never know what crazy thing he will say next.
