Would you trust AI to attend a meeting for you?

random thought experiment i've been thinking about lately.

a lot of work now happens inside meetings customer calls, internal syncs, planning sessions. sometimes people attend mainly to share an update or just to keep track of what gets decided.

it made me wonder if AI assistants could eventually sit inside meetings the same way a participant would. not just recording the call, but actually following the conversation, capturing decisions, and summarizing everything afterward.

in situations where someone can't attend, it could join the meeting with their context and report back what happened.
