Late diagnosis peeps Q

Question for the late diagnosis crew. Did you go into your assessment convinced and confident you'd get a diagnosis like E (not that I believe for a second that's what happened)? Or did you go in to it second guessing yourself but just looking for answers?

Right up until the very second I heard the words "So the panel have discussed your case and we're satisfied you meet the diagnostic criteria for a diagnosis of ASD", I was convinced they'd tell me I was just a shit human 😂 At no point did I gob off that I was definitely autistic before (or after) that moment. I was doubt wrapped in skin. And I certainly didn't say to anyone "I told you so" afterwards (rather, one friend said "hah, I knew it" 🫣)
