Help me with my loud motherboard fan :(

It's so loud, please what can I do :( I don't know much about building pcs so im a bit lost.. I thought about just putting tape over the damn thing so it never spins again because it drives me nuts. Would that damage anything? Seems like the motor shuts off when I touch it so it wont just continually try to spin... It's twice as loud as the video makes it out to be...
