Anime People, I need you 🫵('re help)

I want to watch a new anime. I haven't watched anime in about 2 years and I'm not normally a fan of it. However, I want to find a good romance anime that's complex and "gritty". The Slice of Life and Romance anime I've watched while still good, tend to not be all that compelling in terms of conflict. Here is what I watched so you get an idea ig:

1. Komi Can't Communicate (Tried to rewatch and I cannot get through episode 4 😭)

2. ToraDora! (Pretty good from what I remember)

3. BNA aka Brand New Animal (Underrated)

4. One Punchman (It's good, but action anime is not really for me)

5. Death Note (Solid, but I got kinda lost after they introduced the yellow haired girl)
