Still trying to decide and get my nerve up

Hi all- I have posted a couple times before. I have now been to my 4th surgeon, I liked him and he has done 55k surgeries. I am still petrified. I can;t help it, I understand how common the surgery is, how quick and easy everyone says it is, but I am still so scared.

My current script from cataract surgeons office:

OD -7.5 Cyl -1.00 Axis 50

OS -10.75 Cyl -1.25 Axis 140

I have astigmatism, maybe those numbers tell you that (idk) and currently I am having vitrous detachment in the worse eye, that is "almost done"

I am trying to decide if I will go with distance or mid-range since I work on computers all day. I am NOT a candidate for any kind of mini-mono or multifocal (I think those are the names) I have VERTIGO daily and I cannot bare the thought of this potentially causing more vertigo if something goes wrong etc. I am also worried about about the time in between eyes as my right eye is "not that bad" yet.

Thoughts on mid-range vs. distance?

I do not mind wearing glasses, although it would be nice to drive without them or go to a concert without. Currently to put on makeup I get right up next to mirror, if I get distance, is that what I would do or would it still be weird/blurry?

Doc suggested doing bad eye on a Wednesday and the other one same week on Friday--- thought on this? COuld I just wear a contact in the right (less bad eye) and put off surgery? I do understand that if I go for distance I will still need computer and/or reading glasses.

Also, I am self pay, I do not have insurance, I know Toric is more expensive, I dont mind paying if its worth it.

Thank you all!!! Please only positive stories!
