Is ps5 supposed to be a slog compared to PC(not lagging but too slow to co m plete tasks)?

I'm used to playing on PC years ago. I currently don't have access to a PC but have access to a ps5. I installed Diablo 2 and resurrected (couldn't post my question in their subreddit) but I think it applies to both.

Is it supposed to be this unwieldy or am I doing something wrong? I don't play many console games but it feels like it's impossible to do any quick switching of skills or anything that's requires quick hands for that matter that can easily be done on a mouse/keyboard.

Like moving over to select items is a slog, selecting skills is a slog, everything is a slog compared to PC. To the point that it's unplayable when you are used to PC.

Is there something I can do to remedy this or is this just the way it is on ps5 and wait until I get a PC copy?
