[M4F] When I agreed to help you with your idol group, I didn't realize you meant as one of the girls...
It's been two years since we graduated, and years ago you saved me from the biggest mistake I ever made. Even though we lost contact after graduating, the last thing I said to you was that if you ever needed me for anything, I would be there. It's late in the morning when I'm woken up by your call. You sound frantic. Without too much ado, you tell me that you're calling in your favor and to come over. I know you wouldn't call if it wasn't important, so I cancel my plans for the rest of the day and head over to the address where you've been living.
Since graduating, you've been chasing your dream of being a pop idol and you even managed to make your own group. You've even slowly been gaining popularity- enough popularity to be noticed and get an invitation to perform in front of a talent agency and finally get your big break. The problem? One of your team members' parents found out that she had been secretly in the group and pulled her out at the last minute. You have to perform tomorrow, though, and you don't have time to find someone new. Out of options, in the back of your mind you remember your last resort, me.
"There's no way he'll do it, but at the same time, there's no way he won't. Fuck it. I have to try."
From your explanation, you correctly guessed that I don't like the idea. I go through a list of alternatives that I can think of that would be better for both of us, but they wouldn't work or you've already tried them. Remembering my past, and what you did for me, though, I agree to do it. You ask if I want a rundown of everything but I already know that I'm in for a penny, in for a pound. We'll do it, and I'll deal with things as they come.
Relieved for the help- and that you don't have to break the worst news- we start. From then on, it's a whirlwind of clothes, smells, and what feels like invasions of my body until you hold up a mirror to me. Holy shit, I really look like an idol girl. This could work... but it's not over. Excited with the finished product, you immediately grab my hand and tell me we're going out shopping. Store after store of me wondering why you're making me try on so much and buying what feels like an entire wardrobe, but I'm frankly too overwhelmed from the whole process to ask. When we finally get back in the evening, I flop down on your couch and breathe for what feels like the first time in hours. You leave me alone to do your own things, then come back so we can order doordash. That's when I finally ask why you bought so many things.
"Well, it's because you can't just borrow my stuff! You'll need your own wardrobe for the contest!"
"Uhhhh, what contest?" I ask in response, staring blankly back at you.
It turns out that somehow you got onto Japan's biggest Idol group contest, and it starts in two days. That means I didn't just sign up to be your girl backup dancer for the day. The reason it felt like we were buying me a whole wardrobe is because we were buying me a whole wardrobe. After all, we can't just share a single closet for a whole televised series. People will notice!
With a lump in my throat, I listen to you explain more of the fine details of the contest, realizing just how deep I've gotten myself in. At that, if you're half as good as you say you are, the whole country is going to be watching me for the next 6 months. And what happens if we win or get signed?..

Hey, I hope you like the prompt. I kept it reasonably vague and barebones so we can insert our own flair into the story and make it our own. Let me know if you're interested, if you have any tweaks you'd like to make, or even if this has sparked an idea in your head and inspired something with a completely different! In general, I'm looking for my character to be put in a situation where he has to learn to live as a woman with you as his guide. If it fits that general narrative, I'm likely interested!
