How hard is direct admission for neuroscience?

I applied to UW for neuroscience and only got accepted for premedical studies with no actual major. I'm mostly just wondering how selective it is because I felt like I had a pretty good application. I had a 4.0 unweighted with 11 aps in total and a 1490 Sat. My extracurriculars weren't anything crazy though. I'm not saying I deserved to get in or anything im just curious about how rare it is and what I might have messed up on. Thanks!​
