Any ideas for battle mage builds?

I’m starting a new play-through and as with any play-through I like to pretty much complete most of the content. I haven’t done any AE yet with the exception of one or two quests. I usually do play battle mage or some variation of magic character because I just think it’s the most versatile. I’m not sure what I want to do with this play-through though or what type of character morally I want to play.
