Cannot refund purchase with downloaded game

So just the principle of this drives me mad. I purchases theWWE 2K26 game from the PlayStation store via a preorder and I got the $150 edition. I pre downloaded and launched it last night at midnight to be met with the 2k activation screen saying I need to sign into my 2k account and enter the code just to launch the game. This isn’t just for online it’s to access the game at all.

I just don’t like this. You can buy a game from the PlayStation store but need to setup an account with another company just for it to launch. Their servers were down so nobody could do this at launch. By now I’m sure this has been resolved for the most part but I just don’t like being forced to do this.

I tried to refund from Sony and it said no you cannot since you downloaded. I spent about two hours trying to get online support and did get someone who said no sorry no refunds you downloaded it. Then they disconnected my chat and the bot asked if my issue was solved and couldn’t reconnect me with someone else.

At this point I just don’t want to give Sony my money. I don’t want to dispute since that will ban my console. It can I reach a human on the phone on this ? I don’t mean to seem petty but if I buy a game I shouldn’t have to jump through any hoops to play it offline.
