Weird moment with a girl at my workplace I’m still confused

Guys, I’m 23, a skinny guy. I teach yoga and also do a part-time calling job. A couple of days ago a girl was sitting in front of me at work. She looked very simple and religious, wearing a tulsi mala and chandan tilak. While working, my foot accidentally touched her foot and I immediately said sorry. But after some time she tapped my foot again. At first I thought it was by mistake, but then she did it again and smiled. After that there was this weird silent teasing going on with our feet under the desk. We didn’t talk much, but there were smiles and eye contact. At one point she even closed her eyes like she was just enjoying the moment. Then other people came around and we both moved our feet away. The next day she came again and the same kind of teasing happened during work. I thought maybe she was interested, so I asked for her number and even her Instagram, but she refused both. After that she started acting a bit distant, and I didn’t ask again. What confuses me the most is that she always wore a tulsi mala and chandan tilak, and looked very simple and spiritual. I’m still not sure what that whole situation meant. Did I misread the situation?
