Spotify premium stopped working

I have been a partner for just shy of a year. I previously had a Spotify duo account with my wife but when I joined, I left the duo and signed up for the free account. About 3 months ago, I randomly started getting ads and noticed I had been downgraded to the free version. When I try to sign up again, it tells me my email is already associated with an account. When I called PCC, they sent me to Spotify. Spotify sent me to Starbucks. Has anyone experienced this and/or found a solution?
