Forced Hospital Eval

Hello everyone.

Hoping I'm not breaking any rules here, but my aunt is responsible for my grandmother's care. My grandmother experiences pretty severe sundowning -- gets paranoid, verbal hallucinations. Gets angry and agitated with my aunt. Recently she's began trying to go outdoors.

My aunt is considering trying to get my grandmother to the hospital to go to the psyche or geriatric for evaluation, but my grandmother is extremely resistant and vehement against going. My aunt has some medical power of attorney but she is not yet a guardian.

Does anyone have any experience with how to approach this? She's been put on Depakote by her neurologist (who she has seen once) within the last week, and no changes. If anything it's gotten worse.

If this is the wrong place for me to ask, please help guide me to the right location. I'd appreciate it.
