I’ve never had a relationship - will men take me seriously? 26f

✅ Open To Everyone

I’ve never been in a relationship due to shyness/insecurity, especially in my teens/early 20s. I’ve worked a lot on myself to overcome my issues with therapy, discipline, moving cities/countries.

I’m worried that because I’ve never had a relationship, I won’t be taken seriously by men as a long term partner. That’s all I’ve ever wanted tbh, but low self esteem and seeking chaos (bc of trauma) kind of took that away from me. I have had casual relationships, flings, and connections, but never anything committed. I didn’t have great relationship role models growing up, all I really learned was the dynamic I didn’t want - a narcissist man and push over woman.

I did casual sex for awhile, but have realized I’m just not wired for casual. Even in those situations, I was trying to connect through sex and bond with them. I got hurt a lot in the process because of it. Idk if I ever actually wanted it, near the end, I think I was using it to fill a void. Are men ever going to see me as someone they’d want to be with? Or is my past a red flag?
