Does Fenix suck less than Nitecore?

Recommendation

Every Nitecore flashlight I've owned (3 now), has lasted a few years, and then broke randomly and irreparably. These were EDC carries, so they need to be able to survive the occasional half-meter fall. The electronics gave out on the first two, and the third's switch broke inside the housing.

Is Fenix a better brand for the money? Currently looking at a few models. Should I consider some other brand?

Here are my answers to the recommendation form:

Purpose - EDC, in my pocket

Size - I'm flexible

Battery Type & Quantity - I'm already invested in the 18650 format, but I can flex a little on this, so long as it's replaceable and rechargeable

Price Range - let's say $50 - $150

Type - handheld

Lumens - as bright as possible, lol

Switch Type - side switch preferred
