SHRM 2026 Conference - Thursday Night Event [AK]

Hope all is well!

I’m wondering if anyone else has talked about this, but the SHRM 2026 Thursday night event will be happening at Hollywood Studios for Disney after hours in Florida. I was planning on bringing my kids and my husband on this trip with me just as a family/work trip. When they announced the Thursday night event, it made me excited to bring my kids even more (11 year old & 1 year old). Now, usually if you’re bringing guests to a SHRM 2026 Thursday night event, you would usually pay for an add-on guest pass. Since I plan on bringing my one-year-old son, I would assume that the Disney Park rules apply when they say that kids under three are free. What SHRM is telling me is that I would have to pay $195 for my son to come because he’s considered a “guest”. But I’m thinking with Disney rules my son would be free, Right?

SHRM representatives have told me that they have escalated my question since two of the people that I’ve talked to didn’t really know the answer to this. But I have yet to hear back from them. I know the conference is in June, but I live in Alaska and have to plan ahead of time for these flights and stay. Any suggestions or advice? What do y’all think? Thank you All!
