Should I cancel my trip and re-book late April/May?
I'm supposed to visit Waikiki next week to celebrate my birthday but there is all day Heavy Thunderstorms expected for the majority of the trip. I looked into the hour break downs- it is all day.
I'm aware rolling rain showers are to be expected, I experienced them last year when I visited Kona around the same time but they were brief and didn't impact my plans.
Especially considering the recent heavy rain and some flooding a couple weeks ago: I have a lot of outdoor and water activities, and drives planned- worried this will shift to more of an indoor, touristy malls/restaurants trip and not really what I wanted to do.
If you were me, and able to cancel and rebook around late April/May would you do that to be able to experience and enjoy the island more?
