Extra Storage for PS5

Hello all!

My boyfriend's birthday is next month, and I'd really like to surprise him with more storage on his PS5.

I know one of his biggest frustrations is that he always has to delete games he enjoys to play new ones, but I'm a Nintendo user and don't have a great idea where to start for this.

A friend had recommended a Seagate 2TB, but after reading through reddit threads it seems that external drives are only good for PS4 games??

I would really love some guidance/recommendations on this! Especially since MLB the Show releases next week and I want him to be able to play without having to delete another one of his games.
