I'm looking for horror or story rich games on pc to play with my mom

I'm trying to get my mom into playing video games. She isn't much of a gamer and she doesn't understand the appeal of video games, but one time she told me how she would like to try vr. So I took her to a place where we picked and played a vr horror game and she really enjoyed it. She likes horror and other types of movies, but recently she was complaining how there isn't much to watch anymore. So I told her that she is missing out a lot by not trying more video games since a lot of them are like interactive movies and I asked her if she would play with me if I bought a horror game. I myself am too much of a scary cat to play one on my own. Surprisingly she said yes.

I think this is a nice opportunity for us to finally spend some more time together and because of this it's quite important for the first game we play to make a good impression. My secret goal is to make her play silent hill 2 before she stumbles upon that terrible movie, but for now it probably would be too difficult for her even if I modded it. But during that vr game she was swinging her axe left and right quite enthusiastically, so I believe she has it in her to defeat some monsters lol.

I thought that a good first game would be "a way out". I know it's not a horror game, but it seems to have a nice story and I believe that the first couple of games we play should be in co-op. The second one could be either reanimal or perhaps devour? Devour is probably the closest to that horror game we played on VR. Detroit seems to be very movie like and therefore may be up her alley and I for sure would enjoy watching the decisions she makes. If you have any more recommendations that you think someone like my mom may enjoy I would be glad to hear them. Also I didn't play any of the games I've listed here myself, but watched other YouTubers play them a long time ago, so if you don't agree with my picks or the order I plan us to play them in do tell!
