How to claim dragons without riders?

Long story short - playing as Varezys in disputed lands in Dragon Dance bookmark (never happened, lol). Earlier got myself Sheepstealer and also started hatching fresh ones for my kids. Got myself dragonpit as well. So can I catch all those roaming beasts? There like 6 or 7 all over the world with Caraxes being the closest. There is no option on his "page", I've also tried be in the same spot as him (using activity) but no luck - no new option, can't right click. Any hints?
