Please do NOT add ROLE QUEUE

The growing discussion on why this game "needs" role queue has gone from disingenuous to straight up delusional and I dont think the party in favor of role queue really understands what they are asking for.

Let's address the delusional part first. For context before this game came out I was in favor of role queue but since then the community has proven me wrong because they have more than shown that they are capable of choosing viable team compositions and we have proof.

The most popular team comps, and their pick rates, according to rivals tracker are as follows:

2-2-2: 62.22%

1-3-2: 13.49%

2-1-3: 10.51%

1-2-3: 9.56%

This means over 95% of your games are in balanced comps, all of which have 2 or more supports, and nearly 75% of the time you have two tanks. Players are delusional and hyper focusing on the very rare occasions they have those "4 dps" comps. Which btw, that 1-4-1 comp is chosen 0.16% of the time. So according to them we "need" role queue because of an occurrence that happens less than 1% of the time? Delusional.

Second, the role queue crowd doesnt understand what they are really asking for and I can guarantee haven't put more than 2 seconds of thought into the ramifications of role queue. Yall think role queue is all sunshine and rainbows, and all that is going to happen is that you are guaranteed a 2-2-2 comp and nothing else changes. A big talking point revolves around solving the "solo tanking" issue which we can already see based on the numbers above, around 75% of your games have 2 tanks. Role queue eventually leads to you solo tanking 100% of the time because role queue inevitably ends in this game becoming 5v5. We know this because of another game called "Overwatch" and rivals has quite literally been speedrunning its lifecycle to a T. Players are asking the game to become more and more like overwatch everyday without realizing it.

One of the things this game was heavily praised for was being 6v6 because peopke HATED the 5v5 format in OW. And role queue is only sustainable in a 5v5 format. So you can either solo tanking 100% of the time with role queue and the 5v5 that that will eventually lead to. Or you can solo tanking 25% of the time and keep 6v6. Pick your poison.

Anyway, please do not add role queue. Its not the magic pill many seem to think it is and will only cause bigger problems than the ones we have which, are only problems in people's imaginations and not according to the evidence. We shouldn't make drastic foundational changes to the game just because a few people lack the ability to be objective about their gaming experience.
