I applied for a job that I’m qualified for and was contacted by a staffing agency that said they were recruiting for the position. Here’s what happened:

* Applied to job listing online
* Received a text from a staffing firm contracted to recruit for the role
* Had a short phone interview with basic screening questions
* During the call, I asked what the company’s name was. She said she would text it to me afterward
* She also said my information would be forwarded to the hiring team and they would contact me
* I never received the text with the company name
* I was never contacted by anyone from the hiring team

Two weeks later:

* The same staffing employee texted me asking if I was still interested
* I said yes
* She replied that “the company” had extended me an offer and that I could start immediately
* The first image is my response, and the second image is her reply.

**The issue is:**

* I still don’t know the name of the company
* I have never spoken with anyone from the company itself
* The only communication has been with the staffing agency
* In her response to my concerns, she STILL has not provided the name of this elusive company.

I’m hesitant to proceed because this feels strange. I’m concerned it might be a scam, but even if it’s legitimate I’m uncomfortable with how much the company’s name is being withheld.

**Am I picking up the right vibes here, or is this normal for staffing agencies?**

Is this a scam? Am I being unreasonable?
