A Seaf Soldier gets interviewed after witnessing a shadow of Ivis

Myself and our platoon were sent on Oasis to thin the illuminate numbers. We were successful but it cost my commander and my crew lives.

A few hours later I lost contact with nearby soldiers that had to head to somewhere. There was one destroyer but it was darker then any ive seen. Then… I was attacked by overseers

I tried to fight back… I was.. I thought it would be the end..

Then.. the overseer got shot out of nowhere then a unrecognisable helldiver appeared and started slaughtering them one by one then I watched him snap an overseer’s neck which made me vomit.

After I finished up, I said to him “thank you! You saved my ass out there helldiver” he looked me like he was disgusted with me. “Never call me that.” I looked surprised but then I looked closer at his uniform and saw a faction logo with the words. TSOI, Ivis Will Remember. I said worryingly “your One of them aren’t you… Ivis.. “

He looked at me then held his hand out while saying “you say that with fear…”

I responded “well.. you people don’t have great representation for what you lot have done over a year.. besides.. I thought you lot went after cyberstan?”

He passes me a gun then responds if it make your mind at ease. I wasn’t involved with all of things Heimdal did..anyway it’s getting dark soon.. we should move asap. It’s gonna get dark soon

As he walk away I followed on to where he was going then we got to where the extraction was supposed to be

“Why are we here? Extraction left hours ago”

He took out a S.O.S beacon and imputed the location. “I was sent here to make sure all SEAF soldiers evacuated oasis”

“Why?” I asked, he responded as he looked at me “that’s classified. Usually I would have put you down like the others. But, I watched you fight out there. I call that bravery. Besides.. you SEAF owe us for our brothers that sacrificed themselves at the capital”

I felt guilt but then I said “why did you guys stay at the capital?”

He was quite for a brief moment then said “to give time for Helldivers to save your fleet. As for us.. to get our guys out of the capital.. “

I held onto his shoulder to say to him “I’m sorry they didn’t make it.”

He looked at me as he gave me a cold response “it was part of the mission.” He walked away as he said “the shuttle will arrive in a few minutes. Stay safe.”

Before I could ask who he was he vanished into the darkness like a shadow.

Then I escaped.. the dark destroyer vanished as soon as the shuttle took off.. I hope one day i meet him again.
