Reducing my work hours to six hours per day
For the past few months I have been working almost all the time. I work in the car, at work, and when I get home. Basically every moment I can.
Instead of improving my productivity, it actually made things worse. I burn out often, I get bored faster, and I end up jumping from one task to another without finishing things properly.
Because of that, I decided to limit my work to six hours per day, with a 15-minute break every two hours. I also won’t work on Saturdays.
What I hope to get from this:
- stronger concentration
- better focus
- some time for myself again (going to the gym and spending time with people)
I never thought I would make a decision like this. I know that in the first few weeks I will probably feel the urge to check my MacBook or review tasks on my phone. But I want to discipline myself and keep work inside that six-hour window.
The goal is that during those six hours I can hit a Hakari jackpot and get as much done as possible.
What do yall think ?
