(Scotland) is it normal to have no reply to proposed move in date for over a week?

Currently selling our house and preparing to move into our new build in the summer, and we accepted an offer at the end of January. During viewings we made it clear it would be a June-July move in date for the buyers which they were happy with as they are FTB - we also had confirmation from their solicitors on the 12th Feb that they were aware of the summer move in date.

Last week, our solicitors and us agreed a potential move in/out date of in late June and this proposed date was sent to their agent last Wednesday to hopefully get the missives moving, however it has now been 9 days without any feedback from their solicitors buyers agent. I asked my solicitor yesterday who was going to chase a reply, but is now out of office until the middle of next week.

I’m getting a bit concerned at the lack of response to this - is it normal to be kept in the dark this long? We had some problems with our conveyancer during the offer stage as they didn’t chase up a very good offer we were interested in for two weeks which we ended up losing out on.

I’m making myself a bit worried that they’ve suddenly changed their mind, but I suppose if they had we would have heard by now if that was the case, and we’ve already made a reservation payment and paid a portion towards extras for our new property.

Hopefully this is normal and it’s a case that their lawyer isn’t making any rush to get confirmation from the buyers because the move in date is so far in the future, or something like that. Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks
