Packing for Disney with toddlers? Here are the 6 absolute game-changers that saved our trip (and a free tool to make it easier).

Planning

Hey everyone,

Planning a trip to WDW with little ones is basically a military logistics operation. You’re balancing Florida weather, nap schedules, and keeping tiny humans happy in massive crowds.

After stressing out over packing for my two kids (5 and 7), scrolling through hundreds of lists, and scouring threads here, these are the 6 things that actually proved to be lifesavers (and the things most first-timers seem to forget until they are paying $15 for them in the parks):

  1. A Stroller Ribbon & AirTag: Stroller parking in Fantasyland is a sea of identical black and grey strollers, and Cast Members frequently shift them around to make room. Tie a bright, obnoxious ribbon to the handle so you can spot it instantly.
  2. Clip-on Stroller Fans + Frogg Toggs (Cooling Towels): Florida humidity hits different. The fan keeps the air moving during naps, and the cooling towels (activated with water) are magic when waiting in an outdoor queue at 2 PM.
  3. Reusable Silicone Zip Bags (Stasher etc.): These are MVP. You’ll use them for halfway-eaten $8 pretzels, wet clothes after Kali River Rapids, or keeping your phone dry during sudden afternoon downpours.
  4. Kid-sized Noise Canceling Headphones: Rides like Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Dinosaur, and the fireworks are loud. Pop these on your toddler and you can avoid a sensory meltdown.
  5. A dedicated "First Aid / Med" Pouch: Kids' Tylenol, band-aids for blistered heels, Dramamine, and Clorox travel wipes for sticky tables. You do not want to be hunting for these at 2 AM or paying resort prices.
  6. Swim Diapers + Wet Bag in your Park Daypack: If you hit a splash pad or end up at the resort pool early while waiting for your room, having these accessible without digging through your checked bags is key.

I actually got so frustrated with the mental load of packing for my family that I built a free web tool to do it for me.

It’s called TripTiqStory, will post in comments. It lets you input exactly who is going (e.g., you, your partner, and your toddlers), your transit, and accommodation, and it generates a hyper-specific packing list in about 60 seconds.

You don't even need an account to generate a list—I wanted it to be zero-friction because I know what it's like to be an anxious, time-poor parent just trying to get organized. If you like the list, you can save it and easily share it with your partner so you're both on the same page.

Would absolutely love feedback from the Disney pros here. Let me know if the generator misses anything crucial for toddlers that I should add to the algorithm!

Have a magical trip! ✨
