Suggestion for good reader, no interest in extra features and in amazon ecosystem

I am not a fan of amazon: I'd buy a reader, but not books - I'd rather get them from alternative ways. What's a good reader I can go for? Must have: internal light for reading in bed at night. Preferred: long battery life, white text on black, affordable Not important: wifi, bluetooth, touchscreen, cloud, sync, ... Thanks!
