Is this game as enjoyable for solos as Arc Raiders? If yes, any tips?

:M2026:Marathon (2026) Discussion

I'm not too enamored with extraction shooters. Arc pulled me in due to its accessibility, world and sound design, and solid shooting mechanics. I bought the game yesterday and played through the tutorial level. Loved the atmosphere and aesthetics of the game. Haven't touched it since due to lack of time, but since then I've been hearing more and more that this is not a solo friendly game. Due to my work schedule, I really don't like teaming up and usually prefer going solo at my own pace.

What has been your experience as a solo player? Recommended or not? If yes, what are your suggestions for solo play? Any specific class, gameplay approach or goals I should keep prioritize?
