I built an app that turns saved videos into searchable bookmarks

Hi everyone! 👋

I’ve been building a side project called Bookmarks AI.

The idea came from a simple problem: I constantly save Reels, Shorts, and TikToks… and then spend hours trying to find that one restaurant, book, or product again.

So I built an app where you can send a video (Reels / Shorts / TikTok), and the app analyzes it with AI.

It can:

• detect products, books, movies, and places mentioned in the video

• create a structured bookmark from the clip

• add links to stores where you can buy the item

• put places on a map inside the app

So instead of scrolling through hundreds of saved posts, you can actually search and explore what was inside the video.

There’s also a free AI chat built into the app. You can ask questions in the context of a bookmark — for example:

“find similar movies”, “show me books like this”, or “recommend places like this restaurant”.

The goal is to make saved content actually useful instead of becoming a giant pile of forgotten links.
