Fired after working 4 days

Hi everyone,

I got fired after 1 week. I am a new grad in kinesiology and was very fortunate to find a full time job in a physio clinic. I didnt see this coming because I was giving it my best and learning all the modalities needed to treat a patient and other clinical skills. This was only a 4 day work week bc Monday was family day. on that same week, the receptionist was away on the friday and following monday so i had to swoop in and learn all the admin things for the clinic while simultaneously prioritizing patients. I also got very sick with the cold on my frist week too and im assuming it's because of the stress i was in. I think the clinic supervisor decided within the first 2-3 days of me working because on that first friday i was there, another person had come in saying they were there for an interview for the same role i had. on the following monday, i was let go because i didn't have enough experience to work in a fast paced clinic and i was told that i was slowing them down. i am dissapointed because during the job interview, they were really happy and open to mentoring me and having me stay with them for a long time. i have a feeling it was because of something more significant. i forgot to mention that on my 2nd day there, i was assigned a patient and they were taking me as a joke maybe because i am young but, the patient didnt speak any english but he had his son there to translate for him. however, his son just stood beside him in silence while i was struggling to speak to his father and try to apply electropads on him. the patient was not happy with the treatment because i didnt speak the same language as him and no one else in the clinic did so too. after the incident happened, i had a talk with the clinc supervior and explained the situation. the clinc supervisor overall said that i handled the situation well and that there wasn't much i couldve done. if you made it this far into my rant, thank you!
