What do you think of Padre Pio?

Random question I know, but I'm currently reading about him and just wondered what others think.

I'm Catholic and know a lot of Capuchins and people in general who love him, so I'm well aware of his importance to Catholics and I've even been blessed w a relic of his before and etc.

But honestly I've never been wholly convinced by the story, he's always made me uneasy.

Although there are some things about him and the situation that I don't currently have an explanation for (which is why I'm reading up and keeping an open mind), but ultimately I think he probably faked the stigmata somehow with acid like people think.

I'm trying to keep an open mind. I currently have a negative view based on what I've learned about him and his actions so far, but maybe my "research" will lead to me being devoted to him idk. I'm open to that anyway.
