Trimming trees

my neighbors has two trees in the front yard and one of the trees' branch having over into my property(some fromt yard and drive way). I asked him to trim it but he really cares about the shape and didn't trim it last year. I didn't want to make any trouble with him so I didn't ask again. Today, I got a quote for my two trees. The tree guy said he will trim my neighbor's tree a little bit because it is coming over my property and he said it is no problem per texas law. I called my neighbor and let him know that we will trim your tree a little bit. He said okay but we doesn't want his tree to look creepy and he wants to see how the trimming company works. I understand that he wants everything looking good but I also don't care how his tree looks good. I just don't want their tree come to my yard.

Am I too picky?
