Logistics of weapons manufacturing and distribution

With all the stuff going on in the news its gotten me wondering the logistics of weapons manufacturing and logistics, specifically missiles they use. Are weapons like ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles made in a regular factory? Os there a regular Joe pressing a button on a converyor belt just making missiles all day? How many do they make in a day considering they seem to go through thousands a day. How are they transported? Given the dangerous nature of the load, surely they arent just collected by a haulage company and shipped by road across the country/continent/world? Wouldnt they be highly secured with armed security? In times of no wars, are there massive warehouses with thousands of missiles just sitting around? Whats the likelihood of accidentally setting one of these off while in storage?
