Probable Crohns

Hi all.

I haven’t been diagnosed yet but am awaiting my first colonoscopy. I’ve been having cramps and diarrhoea for 5 weeks now.

FIT test was positive, calprotectin is 950 and lymphocytes have also been low for a while. My eyes have been blurry and leaky, have joint pain and brain fog. Over the last year or so I’ve had episodes of mucousy and bloody stool - sometimes just the mucous and blood on its own. My periods have changed, I thought it was menopause because I am 45 now but blood tests for this was normal

I always had bowel issues from age 21 when I had acute melena but nothing then was diagnosed. Over the years I experiences lots of bloating, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, I learned what foods to avoid and told by GP I had IBS and given mebeverine.

I realised there are other conditions my symptoms may be a reason for but can anyone relate and what was your story leading up to diagnosis?
