When to go to ER

My MD is scheduled for 4/6, my pre-op appointment is Monday. My herniation is at L5/S1

I am sitting at 8/9 out of 10 pain. I can’t cope. My whole leg is numb. I can’t sit down for even a second. I can’t sleep.

Is there any point in going to the ER? I don’t want to sit there for 6 hours and spend $250 just to have them push Advil and ice.
