 Hey everyone,

I’m working on an idea for an Independent Mobile Fashion Retail Network in the US, and I’m currently looking for partners and investors who might find this concept interesting.

A bit about me:

I’ve spent 17 years in fashion retail, working with brands like Adidas, Asics, Carhartt, Fred Perry, Stüssy and others (including Saucony — even in 2013 a collaboration was being prepared; I can provide proof of that process and other projects).

Before moving to the US I ran my own retail stores and learned firsthand how fragile traditional retail can be — high rent, expensive build-outs and heavy dependence on suppliers.

After moving to the US I started testing a different approach.

Over the past year I’ve sourced and resold pieces from 100+ brands, including labels like:

Kith

Aimé Leon Dore

Stüssy

Carhartt

Supreme

The North Face Purple Label

CP Company

Deus Ex Machina

Ksubi

and many unique European and Japanese brands.

I can share proof of hundreds of sales, authentication checks and transactions.

This led me to a concept I call independent retail.

The idea is simple:

a store that doesn’t depend heavily on landlords, brand contracts or massive overhead.

Instead of traditional retail spaces, the main format would be mobile stores — converted vans, trailers or small buses that function as compact clothing shops.

Think of it like a food truck, but for fashion.

These stores can operate at:

• markets

• vintage events

• street locations

• festivals

• pop-ups

• or even fixed spots like parking lots or places where people naturally gather and hang out.

This drastically reduces fixed costs and allows the store to move where the customers are.

Estimated launch cost per unit is around $50k including inventory.

Inventory would come from multiple sources:

• resale and secondary markets

• retail overstock

• brand returns

• unique international brands

• curated pieces from trusted suppliers

I can also act as one of the main suppliers of inventory, because I understand market pricing, brand demand and the margins required for a retail business to work.

At the same time partners will still have flexibility — they can source through me or adapt the assortment for their own location.

The focus is on timeless brands and strong product selection, not short-lived hype.

Another key idea is inventory turnover.

Retail works when product moves.

If the assortment changes every 7–10 days, customers always have a reason to come back.

⸻

Why this model is interesting

• low entry cost

• extremely flexible format

• independence from traditional retail leases

• inventory can always be liquidated online

• strong margins when sourcing is done correctly

I also understand how retail economics work — margins, inventory turnover, break-even points and operational sustainability.

This concept is essentially the core principles of modern retail, but applied in a more flexible and independent format that fits today’s environment.

Another interesting direction is content and online presence.

Each mobile store can document its journey:

where the bus is today

what products arrived

what deals are happening today

what events or locations it’s visiting

For example:

today discounts on skate brands

today special drop

today market event

The goal is always fast inventory turnover and constant customer interest.

⸻

What I’m looking for

• partners in Miami to launch the first store

• partners or operators in other US cities

• investors interested in building a decentralized retail network

Partners can invest, operate a location, or both.
