Is this pay reasonable for FE internship if I am commuting?

I’m being offered $27.50 an hr for a field engineer internship position for the summer. The thing here is, I would have to commute an hour one-way to the job site. Is it worth it?

After asking chat, my take home seems to be $22 after gas expense. So what should I ask before accepting or should I decline? I already have internship experience and I will be a senior next semester.
