Crunch Fitness Rejection

This is one of the dumbest things that’s ever happened. I was scheduled to interview with a Crunch recruiter on Wednesday at 12:30 my time, 2:30 his time. This dude could not understand time zones. He messages three hours before our interview to tell me he’s waiting. I didn’t answer, so he canceled our interview. I reached out to him to remind him of our actual interview time, he says “my bad, I’ll talk to you later then.” He repeatedly emails me two hours before our interview, saying he’s in the Zoom room and wanting for me. Losing my patience but maintaining professionalism, I respond “Your calendar app scheduled our interview at 12:30 my time, 2:30 your time. (Screenshot included) You seem eager to conduct the interview, so we can do this now if 12:30 doesn’t work for you.”

12:30 rolls around, and he cancels at 12:35, saying “the time change messed things on my end,” and we’ll need to reschedule. There was no time change, although he’s likely referring to the time difference. I pity this dude more than anything, but I professionally respond and suggest times. No response.

Near the end of the workday, I follow up with another email. Nothing. The next day, I send a firm but polite email stating his name and “I would like to reschedule.” Silence.

I received a rejection email moments ago, and I’m livid. This job is obviously a joke if I have to explain time zones to the Regional. Also, his calendar app created our interview, with zero input from me, so this definitely happened to other candidates who he likely thought didn’t show to the interview.

Crunch Fitness on the West Coast. Am I allowed to drop his name, and does anyone know if there’s someone at Crunch Fitness who I can file a complaint with? I don’t care for the job anymore — although I’ll still take it — but this is not right, and this dude needs to face even the bare minimum of accountability.

Thanks.
