Did weapon cases get secretly nerfed?

After the expedition it feels like the buff they gave weapons cases are gone. BPs rarely spawn in them and I have not found a single purple rarity weapon in them since. I played about 20 hours since the wipe and targeted weapon cases and security lockers as soon as I got it unlocked. Security lockers seems like it was not changed but weapon cases just feel “boring” in terms of of loot

Is this experience common with everyone or I’m just getting bad luck?
